GOODMAN JOINS CAREER MANAGEMENT AS VICE PRESIDENT EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. (12/05/07)—Retail and catalog industry veteran Alyce Goodman has joined Career Management, an executive search firm specializing in the retail industry, as a vice president. In her new role, Ms. Goodman will be involved in the recruitment of candidates for executive positions at Career Management’s clients in the retail, catalog and e-commerce industries. She will also be involved in new business development, including the firm’s planned move into the consumer goods wholesaling sector. Ms. Goodman, who has over 30 years of experience in the catalog and retail merchant sectors, comes to Career Management from specialty gift retailer Blue Tulip, New York, N.Y., where she was chief merchandising officer. Immediately prior to that, she was executive vice president, chief merchandising officer for Lillian Vernon, White Plains, N.Y. She began her career in 1976 as a merchant at Bloomingdales in New York and went on to hold positions as vice president of product development at Carter Hawley Hale in New York; as vice president of merchandising at Ann Taylor, New York; as president of J. Crew’s Clifford and Wills division, New York; as a senior vice president at Hanover Direct, New York; and as executive vice president of merchandising for Ballard Designs in Atlanta. A resident of New York, N.Y., Ms. Goodman earned an M.B.A. in management from C.W.
